We Streamed Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss with Duello Gaming and Gave Away 7 Copies
We recently partnered with Duello Gaming for a live stream and giveaway of Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, the new Lovecraftian horror adventure from Nacon and developer Big Bad Wolf Studio.
The stream was a great time. We went deep into R'lyeh, things got unsettling fast, and at the end of it all, 7 lucky followers walked away with a free copy of the game. Congratulations to everyone who won.
What Is Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss?
Set in the year 2053, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is a first-person investigative horror game built in Unreal Engine 5. You play as Noah, an agent of Ancile a secret division of Interpol that handles occult cases sent to investigate a deep-sea mining station in the Pacific that has gone completely silent.
What you find down there is not a technical failure.
The game drops you into R'lyeh, Lovecraft's legendary sunken city, reimagined as a vast, labyrinthine structure where the architecture does not follow the laws of physics and the environment feels aware of your presence. As you dig deeper, Cthulhu's influence begins to erode Noah's sanity, and the line between investigation and nightmare starts to blur.
It is a story-heavy experience with branching choices, puzzle-solving alongside your AI companion Key, and multiple endings shaped by what you uncover and how you respond to it. The tone is closer to a cinematic thriller than a jump-scare horror game slow, atmospheric, and genuinely unsettling in the way only Lovecraftian fiction can be.
Who Is It For?
If you have ever read Lovecraft and wished someone would build a game that captures the dread without turning it into a shooter, this is the one. It is made for players who enjoy narrative-driven games, atmospheric horror, and stories where choices actually matter.
Think less about surviving waves of enemies and more about piecing together what happened, what is still happening, and whether Noah can hold his mind together long enough to find out.
Fans of games like Disco Elysium, Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong (also by Big Bad Wolf), or Soma will feel right at home.
